Ham and Cheese Crepe Escape

Rating: Three-and-a-Half out of Five Tiki Idols

This crepe was a new item at my TJs today (I was there yesterday and didn't see it, so it must be brand new). I tried it with the mini Chicken Soup bowl (see other review) for lunch.

This comes with two crepes in one package, but the serving suggestion is one crepe. I microwaved it, and the ham (which I'm pretty sure is deli-sliced Black Forest ham) slid out during the microwaving process. I pushed it back in with my fork when I was ready to eat it.

The ham is pretty salty (that was the key reason for the moderate rating on this item). The cheese was tasty, but there wasn't enough of it (that's probably why this crepe has only 4.5g of fat).

The crepe itself (the wrap/dough/whatever) was chewy, but not in a bad way. It could have been really dry, or really soggy, but it stood up to microwaving pretty well.

I would definitely eat this again. In fact, I have the other half of this package that I will eat next time I'm in the office.

White Stilton with Dates and Oranges

Rating: Four out of Five Tiki Idols

I felt like trying something new, and my cheese cravings as of late have become intense and unavoidable (damn you, delicious cheese!), so I picked up this new cheese at TJs.

Taste = delicious! It tastes mostly of oranges, slightly of dates, and even more slightly of stilton.
Texture = very crumbly. It's not weird or upsetting, but this cheese crumbles when you cut it, not what I'd expect from a stilton. I think this has to do with the "mix-ins" of dates and oranges. I smeared/smashed it on a cracker, and it tasted fine.

I'm keeping a cube of this in the office fridge for my morning/afternoon/anytime snack attacks.
